A refrigerated air dryer — commonly referred to as a "gas dryer" in industry — is the primary moisture control equipment in industrial compressed air systems. Using a closed refrigerant circuit, it cools compressed air to a +3°C dew point, condenses water vapor, and expels it via an automatic condensate drain.
For the dryer to operate efficiently, the condensate drain mechanism, refrigerant gas pressure, and heat exchanger surfaces must be inspected at regular intervals. A blocked condensate drain or falling refrigerant pressure causes moisture to carry over into the distribution line, leading to damage in pneumatic equipment and valves.
At HAVKOM Engineering, we supply industrial refrigerated air dryers engineered for maximum thermal efficiency alongside brand-independent technical service across all industrial makes. At every maintenance visit, we measure the pressure dew point (PDP) to confirm the system is operating at the +3°C target, and record all findings in a digital service report.
