Oil-water separator units are multi-stage gravitational and adsorption purification systems engineered to treat oily compressor condensate before environmental discharge. Raw compressor condensate comprises approximately 99% water and 1% emulsified compressor oil; disposing of untreated condensate into municipal sewer systems violates strict wastewater regulations.
The separator depressurizes the incoming condensate, separates free floating oil into a collection canister via gravity, and directs the pre-cleaned water through coalescing polypropylene oleophilic filters and activated carbon adsorption bags. Outlet effluent contains less than 10 mg/liter residual oil, complying fully with environmental discharge limits.
At HAVKOM Engineering, we supply new separator units, perform annual servicing with replacement polypropylene/carbon service packs, and provide turbidity test kits for compliance verification.
