Desiccant dryer media — primarily spherical Activated Alumina and Water-Resistant Silica Gel — are specialized porous adsorbents packed within adsorption air dryers to capture water vapor molecules down to -40°C or -70°C PDP. Their high crush strength and spherical geometry prevent attrition and downstream dust carryover.
While heatless dryers predominantly utilize 3–5 mm high-surface-area activated alumina, heated purge and blower-reactivated dryers often combine alumina with silica gel layers to maximize desorption kinetics and reduce regeneration power consumption.
At HAVKOM Engineering, we supply certified high-capacity spherical alumina and water-resistant silica gel, conduct full spent media vacuum extraction, clean internal support screens, and execute certified re-bedding services.
