Air/oil separator elements are the critical coalescence components in oil-flooded rotary screw compressors, stripping atomized lubricant mist from the hot compressed air discharge. Passing through multi-layered borosilicate microglass media, microscopic oil droplets coalesce into liquid oil pools returned to the lubrication circuit via the scavenge line.
A premium separator guarantees minimal residual oil carryover below 1–3 mg/m³ (1–3 ppm). A ruptured or saturated separator causes catastrophic oil carryover into factory air mains, destroying desiccant dryer beds, blinding inline filters, and fouling pneumatic equipment.
At HAVKOM Engineering, we supply immersion flanged baskets and spin-on canister separators engineered with conductive grounding staples to dissipate static electrical charges and prevent internal vessel fires.
